HIIT & Circuit Training instructor Course

The combined HIIT and circuit training instructor course is a fantastic module for any gym, exercise to music, personal trainers or group exercise teachers.

The HIIT training and circuit training instructor course will teach you how to plan and develop a range of HIIT interval style classes and circuit training classes both with equipment and without. The module will teach you the science behind interval training from short sprints to long lactate threshold training intervals and how to apply intensity in various modes of exercise to achieve results based interval training. The circuit training instructor course will teach you functional power based movement, plyometrics, CV, team circuits, ton ups, fat busting circuits amongst other formats.

This HIIT combined circuit training instructor course will provide instructors and PTs with the knowledge and skills to perform and teach a huge variety of functional basic and advanced exercise techniques, whilst also understanding and practicing safe training.

This combined training course has been developed by our movement specialists and is crammed full of useable ideas that you walk away with and teach. Circuit & HIIT training, as functional movement, is one of the biggest growing areas of work in fitness. You can take this course as a gym instructor, group exercise teacher, personal trainer or if you hold equivalent fitness instructor qualifications.

If you already hold a level 2 fitness instructor qualification, equivalent or higher you can take this Award as a CPD Award. Upon completion of this training and assessment, you will receive an Active IQ Award in Instructing Circuit Training. If you don’t hold a level 2 fitness instructor qualification you can combine this course with your L2 Group Training Certificate in Exercise to Music as an additional module to enhance your group training qualification or take the full course as a stand alone L2 Group Training Circuits & HIIT course and qualify in L2 Group Training.

  • Latest scientific research in kettlebell training
  • Application of safe, effective, functional and challenging kettlebell training
  • Understanding of functional tri-planar movement
  • Technical teaching of a broad range of basic and advanced kettlebell exercises
  • Application of kettlebell training to a varied range of client groups
  • Mechanical and physiological responses to kettlebell training

HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?

  • One half day circuit training & one half day kettlebell training
  • One day assessment (both disciplines)

WHO IS THE COURSE SUITABLE FOR?

  • Individuals 16 years and over
  • Those wishing to work in a gym or studio using circuit training formats
