The Pilates Reformer Therapy Course is an approach to movement re-education that is essential in the field of rehabilitation for musculoskeletal conditions. The course is co delivered with Michael King and Gill Cummings-Bell two international experts in Pilates studio reformer and clinical therapy exercise. The Reformer is a stimulative assistive form of exercise that optimises the acquisition of movement with a reduction of negative forces, stimulation and correction of dysfunctional movement patterns, re-establishment of neural recruitment of micro control across joint structures and stimulation of muscle contraction and control. Research theories in motor learning, biomechanics, and musculoskeletal physiology help support the phenomena experienced by many Pilates Reformer practitioners.
